D.C. police confirmed the body found near Chain Bridge in Northwest last month is a missing Maryland teenager.

Police identified the victim as 16-year-old Eberson Guerra Sanchez.

A medical examiner confirmed Eberson died of multiple stab wounds.

The teen’s family filed a missing person report with Frederick police after not hearing from him.

Eberson attended Tuscarora High School in Frederick County, Maryland. The school told parents two weeks ago that his body had been found in D.C.

Police said blue and white bags were found near the crime scene. The colors are associated with MS-13.

Officers have not said the homicide is connected to gang activity.

Anyone who has information about the investigation should contact police.
