Police Arrest Woman for Stabbing Man at Metro

Investigators use security cameras to find suspect

WASHINGTON -- Metro Transit Police arrested a teen in connection with a stabbing at the U Street Metro station that happened Saturday.

Police arrested Dekeria Green, 18, of Southwest D.C. and accused her of stabbing a 19-year-old D.C. man. She allegedly stabbed him during a large fight that started at the Republic Gardens nightclub and continued outside and inside the U Street Metro station, investigators said.

The victim was able to get away by train to the Columbia Heights station. He was treated and released from the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police used security cameras at the station to help with their investigation and said more arrests in connection with the fight are possible. Anyone with any information about the fight should call Metro Transit Police at (202) 962-1792.
