Police Arrest Teen in Alleged Rape in Alexandria

Alexandria police said a juvenile was arrested as a suspect after a woman was raped last weekend after she attended a party at a bar.

Police said the suspect is a 17-year-old male resident of Alexandria. He is being charged with rape and forcible sodomy.

Investigators said the incident occurred on August 31 between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the 100 block of South Reynolds Street.

The victim, a 43-year-old woman, said she went to a party at a bar on Reynolds Street, and was later raped by a stranger in that same location.
