Police Arrest 6 Occupy Baltimore Members

Protesters planned five-day campout at site of proposed juvenile detention center

Maryland State Police said six Occupy Baltimore members have been arrested for trespassing at the site of a proposed juvenile detention center.

The Baltimore Sun reported http://bsun.md/Ag4bKo that authorities said four men and two women were arrested after starting to set up a plywood structure.

Police spokesman Greg Shipley said the group was encouraged to leave the property that's owned by the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.

The group previously said they planned to have a five-day campout at the proposed site, just a month after being evicted from McKeldin Square.
