    93-Year-Old Man Killed in Falls Church Hit-and-Run

    Fairfax County police are asking for the public's help after a 93-year-old man died in a hit-and-run crash in Falls Church. News4's Darcy Spencer reports. (Published Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019)

    A hit-and-run driver struck and killed a 93-year-old man while he crossed a street  in Fairfax County, Virginia, Friday night, police say.

    Fairfax County police responded to the crash near the intersection of Arlington Boulevard and Summerfield Road in West Falls Church about 6 p.m.

    Police say a dark-colored, mid- to full-size pickup truck with an open bed hit the victim, Pericles Apostolou.

    Apostolou, of Falls Church, was not in a crosswalk when he was struck by the truck. The driver didn't stop after the crash.

    Apostolou was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
