The Petworth neighborhood in D.C. has been named one of the top “Old House” neighborhoods in the country by ThisOldHouse.com.
The neighborhood was lauded for its Wardman-style homes, which were designed by Harry Wardman in the years following World War I.
The website praised Petworth for becoming a desirable neighborhood after decades of crime and neglect, and maintaining reasonable prices while trendy businesses and coffee shops pop up in the area.
The neighborhood is located in the Northwest quadrant and is conveniently placed near the green line.
