Part of the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway will be shut down to all traffic Sunday night into early Monday morning.
Crews will shut down all lanes of southbound Interstate 495 around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night just before the Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) exit, just south of Merrifield, Virginia.
Crews will be completing joint repair work. According to VDOT, the detour route redirects traffic to an adjacent access road just north of the Route 50 exit.
All lanes are scheduled to reopen to drivers by 5 a.m. Monday.
