Osteen's ‘Night of Hope' Pushed Back To Sunday

Threat of rain moves Nats Park event to 4 p.m. Sunday

The threat of rain has pushed televangelist Joel Osteen's "America's Night of Hope" Event at Nationals Park to Sunday afternoon.

After a bright start to Saturday, clouds have quickly rolled in over the D.C. area, and the latest forecast calls for showers to begin at around 4 p.m. The event had been scheduled to begin at 5:45 Saturday afternoon.

The rescheduled event will now take place at 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Gates will open at 2:30 p.m. and ticket holders can use their original ticket as admission.

According to a recorded message at the ministry's telephone number, anyone who cannot attend will receive a full refund of the ticket price.

A crowd of 41,000 is expected to hear the televangelist, best-selling author, and pastor of the Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.
