One Killed, Two Injured in Prince William Co. Shooting

Prince William County police are searching for a man in connection with a fatal shooting in Gainesville, Virginia, early Saturday.

Police said officers were called to Old Linton Hall Road and Charis Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. When they arrived, they found two men in a nearby parking lot, suffering from gunshot wounds.

One victim, Claude Lee Jackson III, 23, from Gainesville, died as a result of his injuries. The second man, 22, from Bristow, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

While investigators were on the scene, a third man, 24, from Manassas, was found with a minor wound to the hand.

Police only provided a very short description of the suspect but believe he left in a light colored SUV.
