Your Commute Sucks? Complain About It Online

And do it all anonymously

A coalition of activists pushing the federal government to take aggressive action on transportation reform have created a delightful, interactive enclave on the Internet. It is called "MyCommuteSucks.org," whoa boy.

The Washington Examiner reports:

The site, which started Friday in conjunction with national Bike to Work Day, is meant to be an outlet for people to vent, according to its organizers, but also to “redirect rage.”

“The main goal here is to raise the issue of transportation and how we pay for it,” said spokesman David Goldberg. “The truth is our commutes suck year in and year out and they don’t get any better.”

The mouth on this David Goldberg!

His group, Transportation for America, hopes that this vulgar Web site, with its Bart Simpson-like youth language, will "push Congress and President Barack Obama to use an upcoming transportation bill to create a 'world-leading, sustainable transportation system.'" i.e. more walking and biking and BULLET TRAINS.

DC-area residents, as expected, have been quick to take advantage of this new opportunity to bitch about something anonymously on the Internet. Why do so many of their commutes suck? The consensus seems to be that THE OTHER DRIVERS ARE ALL *IDIOTS.* CAN YOU "FIX" THAT, CONGRESS? NOBAMA?

...abysmal level of driving skill of american drivers - for example; two or three shmucks side by side on a limited access highway can create a bumper to bumper jam that f**ks thousands for hours. Please initiate a driver retraining program nationwide that teaches people how to merge, pass, signal, pull into traffic, not stop and wave another shmuck into traffic... Probably fully fifteen percent of people now driving should never be allowed behind the wheel... tough sh*t for them - get them OFF THE ROAD!!!

NO, 99.99 PERCENT, NOT FIFTEEN, YOU *IDIOT.*
