An unoccupied house in Stafford County, Va., exploded Saturday night, and investigators believe a gas leak is to blame.
Stafford Co. Fire Department Public Information Officer Mark Doyle said there was no one inside the home under construction. The blast occurred around 9 p.m. on Hopkins Branch Way.
The area is part of a new development in the Stafford Lakes subdivision. The house was destroyed.
Investigators are still trying to pinpoint the cause of the explosion.
