Hatched or not, you'd better start counting your chickens, especially if you live along the Eastern Shore.
The Berlin Town Council voted Monday night to allow up to six female chickens on the properties of single-family homes. But ducks have got to go.
The issue arose after Elizabeth Fisher's neighbors complained.
The town is allowing six chickens per yard, as long as they're pets and kept in a pen.
But other birds, like ducks, are still prohibited.
