Motorcyclist Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Bethesda

A motorcyclist has been killed after being struck by a vehicle in Bethesda.

The Montgomery County Police Department says 52-year-old Gary Bird Seward was riding his motorcycle Sunday afternoon south on Old Georgetown Road when a car traveling north attempted to turn left onto Lone Oak Drive. The car then struck Seward and his motorcycle.

Medical personnel responded to the scene and took Seward to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police identified the driver of the car as 85-year-old Barbara Ann Wilkerson of Bethesda.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
