One man was killed after his motorcycle rear-ended a SUV Saturday afternoon, according to Montgomery County Police.
Investigators said Alan Evans, 51, of Laurel, Md., died at the scene. They said the SUV was traveling eastbound on Annapolis Rock Road and making a right turn into a driveway when struck by Evans on his motorcycle.
An off-duty Howard County firefighter came upon the scene and attempted to save Evans.
The driver of the SUV and a passenger inside were uninjured.
