Motorcycle Crash on GW Parkway Kills 2

Two people were killed Sunday when the motorcycle they were riding crashed, ejecting them, in Fairfax County, Virginia, police said.

Virginia State Police said that at about 1:30 p.m., a Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was coming through a curve on the northbound ramp of the George Washington Parkway towards the southbound Interstate 495 crashed when the driver lost control of the motorbike.

Both people on the motorcycle, who police identified as driver Terry T. Jenkins, 62, and passenger Sara E. Jenkins, 37, were ejected from the motorcycle when it crashed. They died at the scene.

Police said the crash remains under investigation and that neither people were participating in the Rolling Thunder ride earlier Sunday.
