A Maryland woman pleaded guilty to attempted sexual abuse of a 17-year-old boy whom she met while she worked in a youth employment program.
Loni Haggins, 30, of Bowie, Md., entered the plea Friday. She faces a year in prison at sentencing in December and must register as a sex offender for 10 years.
According to government evidence, Haggins worked as a supervisor for a Summer Youth Employment Program in Washington in which the victim was a participant. Prosecutors said beginning in August 2010, Haggins engaged in sex acts with the youth.
Haggins gave birth to the youth's child, prosecutors said.
She was arrested last month.
