A Virginia woman is charged with DUI and child abuse for allegedly driving drunk and crashing her vehicle while her two young children were in the back seat.
Police say Nancy Anne Deen, 35, of Dumfries drove her car into a tree Saturday night in the 9400 block of Brentsville Rd. in Manassas. Officers determined Deen was under the influence of alcohol and say her 3-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter were in the car.
The children were not hurt in the crash. It wasn't immediately clear with whom the children were placed.
Police arrested Deen, who is due in court on Oct. 24.
