Mother Arrested Twice in 3 Hours on Drunken Driving Charges

A Salisbury, Md., mom was arrested for two drunken driving offenses in one morning.

A Maryland State Police officer stopped Ann Marie Abdullin, 23, about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday on Route 50 for a traffic violation. She was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol. Police said her 4-year-old daughter was in the car.

Authorities then learned that Abdullin had been arrested just three hours earlier and released from jail on a driving while impaired charge.

After the first arrest, she was released to a sober driver. Police said it appears that driver took Abdullin back to her car and let her drive away.

Abdullin also was charged with driving a motor vehicle within 12 hours of being arrested for DUI, negligent driving and other minor traffic charges.

Charges also are pending against the driver who picked her up from jail.
