A Montgomery County sheriff’s deputy was briefly trapped in his overturned cruiser Thursday afternoon.
The deputy crashed before 4 p.m. on Woodfield Road near Brink Road in Laytonsville, Md. An off-duty Montgomery County police officer came upon the scene and called for assistance.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The deputy was taken to an area hospital. There is no word on his condition.
Woodfield Road was closed between Brink and Goshen School roads.
