Prince George’s County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Montgomery County man Tuesday on charges he held a former girlfriend against her will and sexually assaulted her.

Rolando Augusto Liriano threatened the victim with a handgun and held her for about three hours earlier this month, Sheriff’s deputies said. He also sexually abused her and threatened to kill her if she didn’t drop pending domestic violence charges and a protective order against him, according to deputies.

The Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office has charged him with false imprisonment, first and second degree assault, third or fourth degree sex offense, and illegally wearing, carrying, or transporting a handgun in a vehicle.

He was taken to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections, and is being held on $175,000 bond.
