Montgomery County may roll back the tax that shoppers pay on plastic bags.
The county council plans to consider a bill that would limit the five-cent tax to only plastic bags handed out at food stores.
Since the tax was introduced in January of last year, the tax has applied to plastic bags at all retail stores in the county.
This new bill would also repeal the tax on plastic food take-out bags.
