Monday Funeral for Glenarden Fire Victims

Father, three daughters will be laid to rest in Largo

A funeral service for a father and his three daughters who perished last week in a house fire will be held Monday morning in Upper Marlboro.

Darrell Price Jr, 36, and his daughters Tania, 8, and Patrice, 4, died February 21 after a faulty refrigerator wire caused a fire that destroyed the home on Leslie Avenue. 11-year-old Daijah Price, who had been revived by firefighters at the scene, passed away late on the night of February 22 at Children's National Medical Center.

Darrell Price's wife, Teresa Myles-Price, and 8-year-old Tamia Price, Tania's twin sister, managed to escape the blaze.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden at 600 Watkins Park Drive in Upper Marlboro. Friends will be able to visit with the family beginning at 10 a.m. Price and his daughters will be buried at Harmony Memorial Park in Largo. Contributions can be made to the Price Memorial Fund.
