Mother Pleads Guilty in Connection With Slain Principal

Admits using principal's stolen credit cards

There's another plea in connection with the murder of a popular D.C. middle school principal.

Artura Williams pleaded guilty to credit card theft.

Williams is the mother of Sharif Lancaster, one of four men charged in the death of 43-year-old Brian Betts.

His body was found in his Silver Spring home in April.

Prosecutors said Williams had nothing to do with the murder itself, but they say she used the credit cards stolen from Betts to buy stuff at local grocery and shoe stores.

She faces three years behind bars.

As part of the plea, three other charges against Williams were dropped.
