Police arrested a father accused of kidnapping his two small children from a Northeast Washington apartment Thursday night.
An Amber Alert went out for Tiara, 10 months, and Robert Anderson III, shortly after Robert Anderson, 22, allegedly abducted them at gunpoint, police said. It happened in the 2300 block of 15th Street N.E. Thursday night.
Police found the children few blocks away on Kendall Street N.E. The Amber Alert was canceled at 4:39 a.m. after being in effect for just an hour.
Tiara and Robert III were reunited with their mother Friday morning. They were taken to a hospital for an evalulation, and have no apparent injuries.
