Missing Frederick Co. Mother Located

A Frederick County woman who was reported missing last Wednesday has been located, according to officials.

Teresa Lentz, 49, was located at approximately 10 p.m. Tuesday in Spotsylvania County, Va. She has been reunited with her family.

Authorities said Lentz's disappearance "was not a result criminal activity and her travel out of our jurisdiction was a choice she made willingly."

Lentz had been missing since June 19 after leaving her family's home around noon to run errands. Later that night, her daughter found Lentz's SUV on the shoulder of Reels Mill Road in Frederick County, Md., with Lentz's keys and other personal belongings still inside.

The Lentz family released a statement Wednesday that read in part, "We are overjoyed that she is safe and back with us. At this time, we would like everyone to know that we are in a family crisis situation, and that we just need privacy at this time.... We sincerely appreciate your commitment to this case and to our family, and we are grateful that Terri is home safe."
