Missing D.C. Airman's Body Found in Baltimore

The family of an airman found in the water near Fells Point will accept his Airman of the Year award next week, The Baltomore Sun reported.

Divers with the police department's marine unit removed the body of 29-year-old Airman 1st Class Evan Curbeam from the water at the Inner Harbor Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

Curbeam was reported missing Saturday after being out with friends the night before in Fells Point.

Curbeam had served in the Air National Guard for two years. He was a fulltime employee at Joint Base Andrews in the munitions section of the 113th Maintenance Squadron.

He had recently been selected as the D.C. Air National Guard's Airman of the Year. His parents plan to accept the award on his behalf.
