Metrobus Driver Hospitalized After Rock Thrown Through Windshield

A Metrobus driver was taken to a local hospital after someone threw a rock through a windshield Thursday night, according to the transit agency.

The windshield of a W2 bus was shattered by a rock at Langston Place and Raynolds Place SE in the Garfieldn Heights neighborhood just after 8 p.m.

The driver reportedly suffered an eye injury from the broken glass.

Passengers on the bus, which was stopped at the time, witnessed the incident.

Metro Transit Police also will review the bus surveillance video to see if it caught the incident.
