Metrobus Driver Arrested for Assaulting Passenger

Driver, passenger involved in physical altercation in Arlington

Metro Transit Police arrested a Metrobus driver after an apparent altercation with a passenger.

The 46-year-old bus driver got physical with the passenger, possibly in a dispute over bus fare, at the bus stop at the Courthouse station, according to Metro.

The passenger got off the bus and was taken to a hospital with an arm injury.

The driver continued on his route and called in to report the incident. He was instructed to pull over at the Pentagon City stop, where police arrested him.

The driver was booked at the Arlington Detention Center. He is suspended with pay pending the investigation.
