Metro is investigating an operator allegedly caught talking to a passenger while a train was in motion.
YouTube video apparently shows a passenger on a Yellow Line train talking through an open door to the driver while the train is moving.
That would goes against Metro protocol and comes at a time when many passengers are concerned about safety in the midst of fare hikes.
Metro issued a statement saying, “We are aware of the video and we know who the train operator is. We will investigate the incident and follow up with the operator on proper train operation procedures. We encourage customers to refrain from speaking with operators while the train is in motion."
Metro officials said they do not know at this point if the operator knew the customer in the video.
