Metro Customer Satisfaction Rates Miss WMATA's Target, According to New Report

New numbers show what most of us already know about Metro: Riders aren't happy with the current service.

Customer satisfaction on both rail and bus is well below Metro's target, according to a new report from the transit agency.

The transit agency wants an 85 percent satisfaction rating for trains and buses, but gets only 74 percent on the bus and 69 percent on the rail side.

Safetrack has certainly put a strain on these systems -- and ridership also continues to trend downward.

Metro will discuss more about these numbers when they are presented to the board of directors this Thursday.
