Men Wanted in Montgomery Co. Bank Robberies

Police need the public's help in identifying two men they say are responsible for robbing two Montgomery County banks this month.

According to Montgomery County Police, crews responded to a bank robbery June 10 just after noon at TD Bank in the 19500 block of Frederick Road in Germantown. They say while one man handed a teller a note that demanded money and implied the other man had a gun, another man met with a bank greeter. The men left together with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Nine days later, police were dispatched to the Suntrust Bank inside of a Safeway on New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring. In this case, one man stood nearby while the other passed a note demanding money, and implying the other man had a gun. In this case, the two men again fled together with an undisclosed amount of money.

The first suspect is described as a black man with muscular build. During the June 9 robbery, he was wearing a gray T-shirt, black pants and a dark-colored baseball hat with a light-colored rim. The second suspect is also described as a black man, who is bald and has a medium build. During the June 9 robbery, he was wearing a black Under Armour T-shirt and dark-colored pants.
