Medal for Man Shot at Family Research Council

District of Columbia Mayor Vincent Gray presented the mayor's medal of honor to a man wounded in a shooting at the Family Research Council building in Washington.

Gray presented the medal Monday to Leo Johnson, who was wounded during the shooting in August. Johnson is the facilities manager for the FRC and was working security when the shooting happened.

Though he was shot in the arm, Johnson was able to help restrain the shooter.

Floyd Lee Corkins II is accused of opening fire inside the headquarters of a conservative Christian lobbying group. Corkins told Johnson that he didn't like the group's policies before shooting him, authorities said.
