Md. School Field Dedicated to Yeardley Love

A Maryland preparatory school has dedicated a field in honor of alumna Yeardley Love, a standout lacrosse player who was killed while attending the University of Virginia.

Several hundred people attended the ceremony at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson on Sunday. The $1.2 million field was built with donations to the school and a foundation working to raise awareness of dating violence that was started by her family.

Love was found dead in her off-campus Charlottesville apartment in May 2010. Love's on-again, off-again boyfriend George Huguely V, who also played lacrosse at the University of Virginia, has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for death.
