Maryland Renews Italian Education Partnership

The renewed 2005 agreement provides resources to Maryland schools

Maryland's superintendent of schools will be in Washington to renew an Italian education partnership.

Interim Superintendent Bernard Sadusky plans to sign the memorandum Tuesday at the Italian embassy. The agreement renews a 2005 pact signed between Maryland and Italy that provides resources to Maryland schools and expands professional development for teachers.

Two Italian regions also are expected to sign a new partnership agreement with Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
