Md. Girl Admits Torturing Teen With Autism

A 17-year-old Maryland girl accused of assaulting a 16-year-old boy with autism pleaded responsible to two misdemeanor charges after her case was transferred from adult to juvenile court.

Lauren Bush pleaded the juvenile equivalent of guilty before a St. Mary's County judge to second-degree assault and distribution of an obscene video.

Bush, who NBC4 previously named and pictured, was originally charged with false imprisonment, child pornography solicitation and first-degree assault stemming from abuses she and a 15-year-old girl inflicted on the boy, including holding him at knifepoint and attempting to coerce him into sex with a dog.

Investigators said they also made the teen walk on a partially frozen pond, which resulted in him falling through the ice several times. Each time, police said, the suspects refused to help the boy out of the frigid water.

Bush is expected to be sentenced next week to time an inpatient juvenile residential program.
