Maryland Man Charged With Cruelty to Animals, Reckless Endangerment After Shooting Dog

A Maryland man was charged with cruelty to animals and reckless endangerment after killing his girlfriend's dog during an argument, Anne Arundel County Police said.

Investigators say Clint Mowry, a 33-year-old resident of Pasadena, shot his girlfriend's recently-adopted dog after it nipped at him Saturday.

Mowry allegedly retrieved a handgun and chased the dog into the kitchen of his home in the 700 block of 224th Street before shooting it.

Police immediately took Mowry into custody.
