Maryland Man Arrested on 8th Drunk Driving Offense

Hit a car stopped at an intersection in Salisbury early Sunday

A Berlin, Md., man has been arrested and charged with his eighth drunk driving offense.

James Nibblett, 47, failed to stop at a red light and hit a car that was stopped at an intersection in Salisbury early Sunday morning, reports WBOC-TV. Police say he failed field sobriety tests and was arrested.

Nibblett was driving on a suspended license, and was required to have an ignition interlock device on his vehicle. Police say the device was not present on the SUV he was driving.

No one was injured in the crash.

An attorney for Nibblett could not immediately be reached.
