Terps' Howard Cited for Disorderly Conduct

Taken into custody after fight in College Park

A University of Maryland basketball player has been cited for disorderly conduct after a fight outside a College Park restaurant early Sunday morning.

University of Maryland Police confirm that Pe'Shon Howard was taken into custody at around 2:35 a.m. Sunday following a fight in front of Shanghai Cafe on Baltimore Avenue.

Police say that Howard was not physically involved in the fight, but he was shouting on the periphery of the encounter.

A native of Los Angeles, Howard averaged 6.5 points per game, 3.7 assists per game, and 3.7 rebounds per game for the Terrapins in 2011-12, his sophomore season. He missed the last month of the season after suffering a torn ACL in mid-February.
