Marion Barry's Son Pleads Guilty to Drug Charge

Christopher Barry, the son of D.C. Councilmember Marion Barry, pled guilty this morning to possession of marijuana and liquid PCP in D.C. Superior Court.

Police were called to Christopher Barry's Southwest D.C. home on May 28 with the report of a fight.

Officers forced their way into the home, and found five bags full of marijuana, as well as a vial of PCP, containing "sufficiently more than used for personal use," according to charging papers.  Barry, 31, initially fled police by jumping out of a window, but later returned, foot bloodied, seeking medical treatment.

Barry had been facing an intent to distribute charge, a felony.

Sentencing is set for September 27.
