Manassas Indecent Exposure Suspect in Custody

Suspect arrested on unrelated charges

A man who police believe indecently exposed himself to children on two separate occasions earlier this month was arrested Monday on unrelated charges.

According to police, a 6-year-old boy was walking in the 11200 block of Soldiers Ridge Circle in Manassas, Va., Dec. 5 when a suspicious, unknown man approached him and began asking his a series of questions, most of which were sexual in nature. The man then exposed himself to the child, police said.

The victim continued walking home and was followed by the suspect the whole way. The victim was never touched by the suspect and the suspect did not try to enter the victim’s home. The police then responded to the call for a suspicious person.

The second incident happened on Dec. 11. According to police, a 12-year-old boy was in the same block when he was approached by an unknown man who then exposed himself. The victim reported the incident and police responded to the call for indecent exposure.

Both incidents were reported to have happened between 10:30 a.m. and noon.

Police received a similar call in the area near the Chuck-E-Cheese. According to police, a witness in the area located a man matching the description and took a photo.

No charges in the indecent exposure incidents have been filed at this time, but they are forthcoming in the investigation, police said.

The suspect’s name and information are not being disclosed for investigative reasons. He is being held without bond on the unrelated charges.
