A man accused of trying to kidnap a woman at a bus stop is now in the Prince George's County jail.
Diego C. Sam is accused of trying to force a woman into his car.
The woman was waiting for a bus July 15 on Highview Terrace in Hyattsville, Md., when she was approached by a man.
The man first pulled up in his car and offered her a ride.
When she declined, the man parked his car and tried to force her to go with him, police. She was able to get away without being seriously hurt.
Police arrested Sam Monday about a mile from the alleged kidnapping attempt.
He is charged with attempted kidnapping, second-degree assault and false imprisonment.
