Man, Woman Riding Motor Scooter Injured in Aspen Hill Crash

A man and woman are recovering at a Montgomery County hospital after the motor scooter they were riding was rear-ended by a car in the Aspen Hill area Monday night. 

The crash happened just before midnight in the eastbound lanes of Viers Mill Road at Aspen Hill Road.

Police say the driver of the motor scooter was traveling eastbound when a car traveling in the same direction rear-ended the motor scooter. 

The driver of the motor scooter was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. Police say his passenger suffered life-threatening injuries

The driver of the car and his passengers were not injured. 

Police say the crash is under investigation. 

The crash came hours after two deadly motorcycle accidents were reported in  Montgomery and Prince George's counties. 

Priscilla Anne Alves, 26, of Silver Spring, was killed Monday evening after her motocycle collided with a car making a U-turn on East Gude Drive in Rockville.

In Prince George's County, a man was killed and a child was critically injured after their motorcycle hit a car on Old Landover Road in Landover, Maryland.
