Maryland Man Arrested in Murder of Wife

A Maryland man has been arrested in the fatal shooting of his wife at a Mt. Airy home Wednesday night.

Authorities say Robert Glen Laudick killed his wife, 50-year-old Donna Lousie Laudick, at a home in the 6600 block of Charles Drive.

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene around 7 p.m. Wednesday. Inside the home, they found Donna Laudick dead of a gunshot wound. Robert Laudick, also 50, was also found with a gunshot wound.

He was flown to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment.

The Frederick County Bureau of Investigation continues to investigate the shooting. They identified Robert Laudick as the suspect in the death of his wife. 

Laudick is facing charges of first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault and use of a firearm in commission of a violent crime. He continues to receive medical treatment in Baltimore.

Investigators retrieved a firearm at the crime scene.
