Amtrak Delays After Man Struck, Killed by Train in Virginia

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in the area of Mine and Benchmark roads Wednesday, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office.

A man described as a "trepasser" was crossing the tracks when Amtrak Train 95 struck him at 3:46 p.m.

The track reopened at 6:30 p.m.

Six trains were affected but all are moving now. Expect residual delays.
