Man Struck But Not Badly Hurt by MARC Train; Camden Line Service Briefly Suspended

MARC service on the Camden Line was temporarily suspended Friday evening after a man was struck by a train.

The man was hit in the 5000 block of Rhode Island Avenue, near the Prince George's County District Court.

Prince George's Fire confirmed a man had an injury to an extremity but the injury was not life threatening. No other information was immediately available.

Due to the emergency response, Train 857 was terminated south of Riverdale, with passengers returned to the Riverdale station, where they were able to transfer to Train 859, which departed Greenbelt 38 minutes late. Train 858 was cancelled. Train 860 left Washington 28 minutes late.
