Man Stabbed During Altercation at Van Ness-UDC Metro Station

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority said a man was stabbed in the face during a confrontation at a Metro station early Sunday morning.

WMATA said three people got into an argument at the Van Ness-UDC Station around 9 a.m. Sunday. They said one man was stabbed in the face, but the injuries were minor, characterized by the agency more like cuts than stab wounds.

They said all three men have been detained and all likely face assault charges, including the stabbing victim.

During the investigation, there was single tracking at the station, but there were no significant delays.
