Alexandria Police are searching for a man accused of attempting to rape an 11-year-old girl.
Alfaro Estanislao, 60, of Alexandria was allegedly caught sexually assaulting the victim by another adult inside a home in the 3900 block of Mount Vernon Avenue on Wednesday, authorities said.
Estanislao fled the scene before police arrived.
He is wanted for attempted rape of a juvenile and animate object sexual penetration, according to police.
Investigators say the suspect is not related to the victim but is known to her family. He is also known to frequent the Arlandria section of Alexandria.
Estanislao is described as a Hispanic man, who's 5'4" and weighs 150 pounds.
