‘Just Turn Yourself In': Father's Plea After Son's Murder in Clinton

The father of a man who was shot through the window of his Clinton, Maryland, home is asking the person who did it to turn themselves in to police.

Kevin Washington Jr., 23, was in his bedroom in the 5700 block Alan Drive when someone shot him through a basement window Thursday night, Prince George's County police said.

"I don't know who did it, but I wish he'd turn himself in. Just turn yourself in," Washington's father, Kevin Washington Sr., said. "I'm losing my son. My only son. I loved him dearly."

Kevin Washington Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made, but investigators do not believe it was a random crime.

"We believe this was not a random act," Prince George's County Police Cpl. Lamar Robinson said. "As far as the relationship with the suspect, that’s all part of the investigation."

Police reviewed a neighbor's security camera.

Police in the county are also investigating the murder of a man who was brought to a local hospital with a gunshot wound. He died from his injuries at the hospital.

The man has not been identified.

Police are still working to establish a suspect and location for the second homicide. The investigation is ongoing.
