Teen Shot, Killed After Party at Foreclosed Home



    News4's Darcy Spencer reports on the shooting death of a teen in Upper Marlboro, Md. after a house party. (Published Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013)

    A 19-year-old man died Saturday evening following a party in Upper Marlboro.

    Crews were dispatched to a foreclosed home in the 11700 block of North Marlton Avenue just after midnight to disperse the party. They received another call from the same neighborhood, referencing a suspicious individual.

    Police said that individual turned out to be 19-year-old Rashad Andre Pinkney of Capitol Heights, Md. who had just been shot. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. 

    Pinkney's grandmother told News4 he had just gotten a new job and she was very proud of him. 

    An officer who was attempting to control the house party scene was assaulted by a 17-year old. As the officer tried to arrest her, she pushed the officer, breaking his leg and twisting his ankle.

    The 17-year-old girl is facing assault charges.
