A 21-year-old man was shot and killed at a vape store in Great Falls, Virginia, on Thursday night after a conversation with a man he knew escalated, police said.

Officials believe it was an isolated incident.

When police arrived at Vapology101 on Center Street about 7:40 p.m., they found Bao Hung Van and pronounced him dead. The suspect, 22-year-old Manvinder Aulakh, was still at the store and was arrested.

The pair allegedly got into an argument at the store, which sells electronic cigarettes and liquid tobacco and serves as a lounge where people smoke. Then, Aulakh drew his gun, police say.

It’s unclear what caused Aulakh to allegedly draw his weapon, or whether anyone else was in the store at the time.

Aulakh was charged with murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and is being held without bond, police said.

The victim's family declined an interview.
